Mother + Daughter,
a shared talent

Over the past 35 years, sports and entertainment stars, political figures and heads of nationally known major corporations all have been her photo subjects and all have bestowed on Meri Friedman the title  "The Southwest's Foremost Portrait Photographer."

For the past ten years, Meri’s daughter Jennifer Kirshner has followed in her mother’s footsteps building her own portrait photography business.  Now, mother and daughter are combining their talents to create their own portrait design studio.

Jennifer holds a Bachelors degree in Art History and a Masters of Fine Arts in Photography from Arizona State University.   She has worked in two of the finest photography art galleries on the West Coast: Fraenkel Gallery in San Francisco and Lisa Sette Gallery in Scottsdale.  She was the curator of a critically acclaimed exhibition of modern and contemporary photography at the Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art.

Together, Meri’s and Jennifer’s portraits are a culmination of their classical training.  The two artists have a deep and abiding understanding and appreciation of the works of the great masters of portrait photography.  As a result of the relationship they establish with your family, each portrait is thoughtful, sophisticated, timeless and destined to be a family heirloom.
